Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other
Back in the 1960s when John F. Kennedy was elected to be President of the USA, he was asked about leadership and came up with an interesting quote. “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
He hit on something we also believe in, that to be a great leader, you need to be able to step back and take advantages of opportunities to improve.
We’ve developed a large range of leadership workshops and programmes, which can help you and your leaders really make a positive difference to the company.
Some of the leadership challenges we look at:
Creating and managing leadership style
As a leader it’s vital you know your own values and style so that you can remain consistent and authentic in the face of challenges and setbacks… as well as make the most of opportunities.
Dealing with change
The emotional reactions to change require understanding, and the length of time it can take individuals and teams to heal’ and ‘forget’ past pain can be a long time if not properly managed.
What you are able to achieve in terms of productivity will depend upon your personality, motivation, organisational skills and ability to think perceptively.
Contrary to popular belief, being an inspirational leader is not just about personality and charm! It’s a skill you can learn. If you have the right knowledge and skills to praise, correct, coach and delegate to your team then you’ll be on the road to being the best boss they ever had.
Management opportunities we’ll help you with
There are a lot of practical skills we can help you with. These include recruitment, training, performance management as well as broader ongoing strategies such as change management.
We can deliver short, single workshops or long-term development programmes with regular interventions and ILM accreditation. Our programmes develop groups of people as peers and cater for a wide range of experience and knowledge within that peer group.
We also provide 1:1 coaching, 360 degree feedback and a range of personality instruments to develop self-aware leaders and managers.
